What is Channel One Network?

We are the leading provider of news and educational programs to America's secondary schools. Our award-winning daily program is delivered by satellite directly to more than 8,000 public, private and parochial schools across the U.S., reaching more than 6 million students.

Our show is 12 minutes in length, including two minutes of corporate sponsorships, which allow us to bring the program to schools cost-free. We follow strict guidelines on who may participate as sponsors, and ensure distinct separation of editorial and advertising.

Our second free programming stream is Channel One Connection, which delivers hundreds of hours of educational video content correlated to core curricula and annotated according to McREL standards. The video library at each member school is stocked with hundreds of free programs annually, courtesy of Channel One.

How do you deliver this programming to schools?

Each member school receives a cost-free satellite video system, including a dedicated satellite dish, a head-end unit with two centralized VCRs, and classroom TVs (one TV per 23 students in grades six through 12). In addition, we cover networking, installation and maintenance at no cost to participating schools.
