Teen Drug Use

  1. Why do you think drug use among teenagers has gone down?

  2. Why do you think that prescription drug use among teenagers has gone up?

  3. Do you think adults are leading a bad example by abusing prescription drugs?

  4. Why do you think some teenagers might think it safer to use prescription drugs?

  5. What are some of the problems with abusing prescription drugs?

In the media, the use of drugs by celebrities and sports figures is widespread. Do you think drug use is glamorized in the media?


Writing Experience

 

Pretend that some of your friends are using peer pressure to get you to try prescription medication. Write three paragraphs explaining why peer pressure won't work with you.
